Wedding Season

I had always heard that I would eventually hit the "wedding season" of my life. Well it is here, and it has hit with a fury. I have been out of town for the past several weekends with all kinds of wedding fun. I've had many friends and even some family get married this spring, and I wish everyone the very best!

With almost three (yikes!) months to go...it is time to really start digging into Mac and my's wedding. So stay tuned on the blog. I should have some more time at home, so that means more things crossed off of my list, which means more blog posts.

I saw the first proof for our wedding invitations today, and I love them! I have a few tweaks to make, but after I meet with Lindsey at Mrs. Post, I am sure they will be perfect!

I cannot wait to celebrate with everyone on October 1!

My Best Friend's Wedding

Whew! What a beautiful wedding weekend. My friend Chandler had a wonderful bridesmaid's luncheon, rehearsal dinner, stress-free wedding day, and one party of a reception. We could not have asked for a more perfect weekend. Congratulations to two great friends, Chandler and David! I wish you both the very best.

I had the honor of being Chandler's co-Maid of Honor, and she will be returning the favor for me...however, I will have a Matron of Honor. I keep joking with Chandler that I am going to have her wear a turtleneck under her dress to ensure her "matronly" status. Our whole weekend was so well-planned and stress-free. I truly hope I can duplicate the same atmosphere for Mac and I's wedding.

I have a few quick photos from the weekend below, but I have nothing on Chandler's awesome photographer, Katy Southern. I have included links to her photos of the big day.

Chan and I at her rehearsal. Her beautiful dress was made from her mother's wedding gown.

The two Co-MOHs with the beautiful bride.

Again, Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Pemberton! Hope you are enjoying your honeymoon.

A Beautiful Wedding

A few weeks ago, one of my best childhood friends got married. Right after Mac and I got engaged, Mom and I went over to her house to gain all of the wedding knowledge that she had. It was so great to see all of her wedding ideas and projects in action.

It was a lovely ceremony and a beautiful reception. The reception was held in Cedar Lakes, just a few houses down from where Mac and I's will be held. Congratulations to Candace and Danny on a beautiful wedding!

 The favors were delicious!

These are some of the same tents that Mac and I will have at our reception. The lights looked great at night!

We Are Family

At least in Verizon's eyes we are! Today, Mac and I made a big step...we got a family plan at Verizon Wireless. Mac ditched AT&T for a new iPhone 4 and a family plan with me. We are both quite excited about it because this means our cell phone bill is cut in half! Now we are both in the network! Haha.

We also took another step towards the big day this week, we picked out Mac's wedding band. We had looked at rings several times in stores and online but nothing really ever caught his eye. Last week we were in Jared's getting my ring cleaned, and Mac found a ring that he liked. We ordered it on the spot and should have it in a few weeks! I can't wait to see it on his finger.

A To-Do List...a Really Big One

Today is June 1st...which means I officially have four months until our wedding. Scary? Kinda.

When we started this engagement I had 14 months, and October 1st was a loooong way away. Now it is knocking on my front door. I know that the months of August and September are going to fly by with travel for work, wedding showers, etc. This means that I need to step up my wedding planning this month and next.

Tonight I am going to work on a really big to-do list. I will try my best to write down anything and everything that I need to do in order to get married on October 1. It's going to be big, and it's going to be scary...but I'm ready. Let's get this show on the road!

I can't wait to marry Mac in four short months!
